On Sunday, November 30, from 5 to 6 p.m., the author will present his book and, with the participation of the audience, demonstrate the creative power of Tarot cards in constructing a story, whether real or fictional.
Archetypes of Stories offers an innovative approach to storytelling, highlighting how Tarot cards can serve as an archetypal system for constructing stories. The text is divided into two parts: a theoretical section, which explores the evolution of the concept of archetypes from the pre-Socratic philosophers to Jung, and a practical section, which analyzes the applicability of the Major Arcana in writing. In the latter section, the Tarot is compared with the narrative models of Propp, Campbell, and Vogler, demonstrating its ability to transcend these patterns and unlock creativity. The interpretation of the Arcana can guide the creative process, anticipating conflicts and twists, making the Tarot a powerful ally in the construction of authentic and universal stories. The intent is to rediscover a way of thinking through images that official culture has often tried to subjugate to verbal language and to base a new narrative approach on it.
